    Thursday may 3rd, CMKT 4

This next Thursday we will have the privilege to host CMKT at Brad’s shop. They will be bringing kits and to build for $15 so bring some money. It should be a lot of fun.
    Here is their little blurb:

Build an EconoMIC Bottle-Cap Contact Mic with CMKT 4 $15

Circuit-bending rock trio CMKT 4 will help students build a sturdy, working piezoelectric pickup using components and recycled materials. The band will help you learn to solder and ensure your success in building the kit. The comic book instructions will help guide you through their special process of soldering, drilling, gluing, zipping, and dipping – Voila! You are the proud owner and maker of your very own EconoMIC Bottle-Cap Contact Microphone (from Creme DeMentia). This simple transducer will create an audio signal from physical vibrations – like an electric stethoscope! Stick around for a performance from the band while the tool-handle dip dries!

    See you there!

    Hi All,
A few pics from our small HackNight at Scott’s on the 16th. We mostly looked over Scott’s new Mosiac 3D printer and discussed plans for converting the MiniMill to CNC. Enjoy!

We had a great Hack meeting at Shop in the Woods Thursday night.
Brad had the 3D printer printing and the laser cutter cutting. Luc, Alex and Keenan were working on the wooden iphone project. This is kind of a fund raiser, awareness project. Luc and Keenan have 9 orders for them so far from friends at school.
Scott had is universal DSP radio up and working with cool realtime FFT plots.

    Photo’s from the Hack Night:

It was a fun evening with a great turnout!
